Elite War: Lock Your Stats Before You Enter, Then Swap for Army Size

By oNarePublished: Updated: 2 min read

For Elite Wars, the battle stats are locked to what is equipped before entering the first time into the current battle. You can use any stats that are not related to the army size limit, which will allow you to put an extra Beast Passive Skill (if you have 4 slots) and use an extra stat like Smothered Flare or any other. After that, you can leave and change all your equipment, artifacts and skills to Army Expansion for an extra Army Size Limit.

Only works before entering the first time in a battle.

Steps

1. Setup before joining. Example before entering:

  • Beast Passive Skills: Anti-Infantry, Anti-Cavalry, Resist Magic, Steel Skin
  • Artifacts: all the red skills you will want to use (Athena's, Angel Sword, etc.)
  • Equipment: all the EW/Atk or Def equipment or enhancements you want for the whole fight
  • Buffs: HP/Attack %, crown buffs, etc.

2. Join the Elite War battle.

3. Send any army out.

4. Leave the Elite War battle.

5. Change all artifacts, equipment and Beast Skill for more Army Size Limit. Example after entering:

  • Beast Passive Skills: Force Expansion
  • Artifacts: all with Army Size Limit or Expansion %
  • Equipment: all equipment or enhancements with Army Size Limit or Army Expansion %
  • Buffs: Army Size Expansion Buff (25–30%)
  • Crown Buffs: Grand Duke or Quartermaster

Enter the battle and enjoy your extra Army Size Limit.

Note: you must activate Athena's Red Skill before joining the first time.

Why the order matters

The whole trick rests on one asymmetry: the stats that decide how hard you hit are read once, when you first enter, while the army size limit is read every time you load a march. So the first entry is where you spend your stat budget, and everything after it is free to be traded for troop count.

Get the order wrong and you lose both halves — you enter with expansion gear and fight the whole battle with those stats.
