Hall of War Rally Size by Level, in Marches
The Hall of War sets how many troops a rally can hold. The Database lists that capacity for all 40 levels. A raw troop count is hard to plan with, though. The number that matters when you organize a rally is how many full marches fit in it.
The unit used here is the march itself. As Every March Is the Same Size shows, 47 of the 53 templates in the troop calculator land between 350,000 and 353,500 troops. This page uses 353,500, the top of that range.
Rally size, in marches
| Hall of War | Rally size | Full marches |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 50,000 | 0.14 |
| 5 | 96,000 | 0.27 |
| 10 | 196,000 | 0.55 |
| 15 | 346,000 | 0.98 |
| 16 | 382,000 | 1.08 |
| 20 | 546,000 | 1.54 |
| 24 | 742,000 | 2.10 |
| 25 | 796,000 | 2.25 |
| 30 | 1,096,000 | 3.10 |
| 35 | 1,446,000 | 4.09 |
| 39 | 1,826,000 | 5.17 |
| 40 | 1,946,000 | 5.50 |
The levels in bold are the ones where the rally fits one more full march:
| Full marches | First Hall of War level |
|---|---|
| 1 | 16 |
| 2 | 24 |
| 3 | 30 |
| 4 | 35 |
| 5 | 39 |
Below level 16, a rally cannot hold a single full march. At level 15 it falls short by 7,500 troops, so whoever joins has to send a reduced march.
Late levels add more troops, not less
The percentage gain per level shrinks as you go: level 2 adds 20% over level 1, and level 40 adds 6.6% over 39. It is easy to read that as late levels being worth less. In troops, it is the opposite:
| Levels | Rally size added | In marches |
|---|---|---|
| 1–10 | 196,000 | 0.55 |
| 11–20 | 350,000 | 0.99 |
| 21–30 | 550,000 | 1.56 |
| 31–40 | 850,000 | 2.40 |
The last ten levels add 2.4 marches of room. The first ten, counting the 50,000 base, add about half of one. Each extra march takes fewer levels the higher you go: 8 levels for the second, 6 for the third, 5 for the fourth and 4 for the fifth.
What to do with this
- The target levels are 16, 24, 30, 35 and 39, where a new full march fits. In between, the extra room only takes a partial march.
- When a rally is not full, compare it with the table above. A rally at level 25 has room for two full marches and part of a third, not three.
- Formation and troop ratios for the marches you send are in the troop calculator.
How these numbers were produced
Rally sizes are the Hall of War table on the Database page. "Full marches" divides each rally size by 353,500, the largest total among the 47 fixed-size templates in the troop calculator. A smaller march fits slightly more often, so treat the table as the conservative case. See where the data comes from.
